I’m a writer and reporter based in Vancouver, B.C. I currently write and edit video for CityNews Vancouver’s suppertime show. I also write, report and associate produce specials for the network’s 24/7 streaming channel.

Previously, I worked with reporters to develop and sharpen their stories as a copy editor with the CBC, where I also produced multi-platform stories of my own. Before that, I covered immigration policy and diaspora communities in Canada as a freelancer. Some of my work has been published in the Globe and Mail, the Guardian US and, through funding from Canada’s Local Journalism Initiative, New Canadian Media.

I was born in Manila, Philippines, where I later studied journalism. I grew up in Hong Kong, where I spent the earlier part of my career as a writer, then editor, for food and design publications.
